"The 2018 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba is a rich, heady wine. Sweet macerated cherry, kirsch, mint, orange peel and sweet spice give the 2018 a decidedly racy, flamboyant personality, its mid-weight structure notwithstanding. There is plenty of charm and allure, although the style is decidedly ripe to the point of being exotic."

"There is a good amount of cherry and red berry fruit in this expressive red, along with floral, wild herb and iron notes. Elegant and vibrant, with fine harmony and length. Best from 2024 through 2038. 1,500 cases made, 1,000 cases imported.‡Bruce Sanderson"
