NY – CORE BRAND MANAGER
Core Brands:
Skurnik proprietary brands and national volumetric brands, including The Pinot Project.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES AND MARKETING
- Direct Sales to Restaurant & Retail clients
- Interfacing with Distributors around the country
- Travel to multiple markets to make and support Sales of Core Brands
- Client support, via in-store tastings, staff trainings, promotional events
- Sales Rep support acting as informational & sales resource for sales team
- Communication with Skurnik Marketing Team regarding market status and brand opportunities
- Execution of Marketing Initiatives for Core Brands
- Education of Skurnik Staff, Skurnik clients through sales meetings, office tastings, trade tastings
- Sampling encouraged and supported
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
- Manage inventory par levels
- Track inventory levels of distributor partners
- Collaborate with Finance Team on production projections
REPORTING & ANALYSIS
- Pricing strategy
- Build and Maintain National Pricing Grids
- Analyze Sales Data for both opportunities and production needs
- Regular Sales Reviews with Management Team to plan for upcoming sales seasons, re-align sales initiatives, and recap progress made
- Track sales goals by brand as well as by volume depletions, accounts sold, and placements
- Support sales programs to highlight sales of specific items or brands
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous sales experience in retail or restaurant required
- Previous wholesale distribution sales experience preferred
- Intermediate wine knowledge, preferably of the Skurnik portfolio & producers
- Clear understanding of marketplace and relevant competition
- Ability and desire to build a network of buyers & clientele
COMPENSATION
$75K – $85K plus bonus based on performance and sales results

QUALIFICATIONS

NY – SALES REPRESENTATIVE, ALBANY & HUDSON VALLEY
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior sales experience working on the wholesale end of the industry is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates with commensurate retail and/or restaurant experience will also be considered.
- Market network of buyers & clientele in Albany / Northern Hudson Valley
- Understanding of the Albany / Northern Hudson Valley marketplace and relevant competition
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail oriented and solution focused.
- Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office.
- Reports to: Sales Manager, NY
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and develop relationships with customers via face-to-face visits and phone/email correspondence.
- Develop expertise of Skurnik Wines’ portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the fundamental tool of establishing successful sales.
- Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies.
- Work in conjunction with Portfolio Management.
- Collaborate to facilitate sales opportunities.
- Willingly accept assignments for market work with visiting winery suppliers.
- Manage and report monthly filing of expense reports in accordance with company policy.
- Comply with all policies in accordance with our Credit Department and associated State Liquor Authority.
- Communicate regularly with the Regional Sales Manager and Credit Department as appropriate to advise of important matters at all times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Understanding of the Los Angeles wine & spirits marketplace and relevant competition
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively
- Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office
- Must have a current driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- Participate in market work assignments with visiting winery and spirits suppliers
- Participate in monthly sales meetings
- Participate in various trade and consumer tasting events
- Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management
