JOB DESCRIPTION:
Skurnik Wines & Spirits prides ourselves in the finest selection of fine wines and spirits, and the best service and hospitality in the business, with growing sales and events teams. We are seeking a Sales Representative to build a sales territory in Buffalo and the surrounding area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Prior sales experience working on the wholesale end of the industry is strongly preferred, though not required.
    • Candidates with commensurate retail and/or restaurant experience will also be considered.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Detail oriented and solution focused.
    • Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and develop relationships with customers via face to face visits and phone/email correspondence.
  • Develop expertise of Skurnik Wines’ portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the fundamental tool of establishing successful sales.
  • Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies.
  • Work in conjunction with Portfolio Management:
  • Collaborate to facilitate sales opportunities.
  • Willingly accept assignments for market work with visiting winery suppliers.
  • Manage and report monthly filing of expense reports in accordance with company policy.
  • Comply with all policies in accordance with our Credit Department and associated State Liquor Authority.
  • Communicate regularly with the Regional Sales Manager and Credit Department as appropriate to advise of important matters at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.

Customer Service “Sales Support Team”

Skurnik Wines is looking for a service and hospitality minded candidate to join the Sales Support Team. We distinguish ourselves as a distributor by our service to our sales team, customers and suppliers. Spirits Specialist – New Jersey

Skurnik Wines & Spirits is seeking a hospitality-minded Spirits Sales Specialist and Educator for our growing wholesale distribution business in New Jersey. We pride ourselves in the finest selection of fine wines and spirits, as well as the best service and hospitality in the wholesale market.  We are seeking a self-motivated, service oriented, and energetic person to join us in our journey to promote thought-provoking, delicious spirits from all over the globe.

The Skurnik Wines & Spirits office is located in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan, but the ideal candidate for the Spirits Specialist and Educator position must be willing to work full-time in their designated territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as spirits expert for our vast portfolio of craft spirits
  • Assist specialized team of Skurnik sales representatives in attaining spirits-related sales objectives
  • Menu and cocktail development
  • Support brands at trade events and tastings
  • Weekly in-store tastings
  • Market work
  • Support events with concept, promotion, and recruiting
  • Social media & blog post creation
  • Execute management plans to build and drive targeted brands
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Knowledge of alcohol production and spirits business
  • At least 2 years of sales or marketing experience
  • Strong communication skills, as well as public speaking
  • Prior brand ambassador experience preferred
  • Prior bartending or mixology experience preferred
  • Willingness to work full-time, non-traditional and late-night hours as required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SevenFifty, Navision, and/or Pocket Advantage a plus
