EVENTS
  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors
  • Manage Events calendar including all reservations for customer tastings, meetings, seminars, and staff birthdays
  • Schedule sales team customer wine & spirits tastings
  • Ensure all event spaces are set-up in advance of customer tastings & meetings
  • Develop menus and coordinate catering for all HQ events, sales meetings, customer tastings, and meetings

  • Manage RSVP inboxes and act as the point of contact for customers
  • Correspond with sales team regarding invite lists, RSVP’s, attendance, and final attendance
  • Maintain current customer account information through Zkipster software
  • Create and distribute all event confirmation emails & texts using Zkipster software

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or able to provide negative COVID test every 72 hours
  • 1 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, preferably as a host or Maître d’
  • Adaptive organizational skills and the ability to change plans to meet new circumstances
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, iOS devices and applications

Spirits Specialist – New Jersey

Skurnik Wines & Spirits is seeking a hospitality minded Customer Service Supervisor for our growing wholesale distribution business in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Our company is growing, with new sales representatives, suppliers, markets and industry segments. Logistics Coordinator – Jericho, NY

Skurnik Wines & Spirits is looking for an individual to join our Traffic and Logistics team based on our Long Island, NY office. Skurnik continues to grow in both imports and wholesale distribution, with an expanding supplier network both domestic and international. We pride ourselves in the finest selection of fine wines and spirits, as well as the best service and hospitality in the wholesale market.  Founded in 1987 in New York, Skurnik’s reputation is built on 34 years of sales experience.

Great candidates have strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Outlook and Excel and able to comfortably and efficiently maneuver between multiple application.  We are seeking individuals who are organized, detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.  We welcome multitaskers and problem solvers who can work independently.

Logistics background is not necessary.  General understanding of business operations, shipping, warehousing, and distribution is a plus.  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Entry level Logistics Coordinator, who will assist with daily tasks that include cargo receiving, communicating with internal and external teams regarding shipment statuses and maintaining an organized log of outstanding tasks.  Working with multiple freight forwarders and consolidators both domestic and international, and updating the operating system with accurate information.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Track and maintain up to date status of all open domestic purchase orders.
  • Advise portfolio managers of all PO status updates, domestic and international, delayed ready dates, ETD and ETA’s.
  • Obtain rate quotes and availability status from various carriers and schedule pickup of orders.
  • Follow up regarding scheduled pickups via warehouse truck and/or carriers. Confirm delivery was made and followed up for inbounding.
  • Confirm all over the road shipments have confirmed delivery appointments with the warehouse.
  • Update operating system with incoming PO’s, received PO’s, and most recent communication with suppliers.
  • Notify each portfolio with inbound notifications, shortages, or discrepancies on receipts.
  • Using shipment reports from freight forwarders, update consolidation details in operating system and advise portfolio managers of updates.
  • Prepare documents for customs clearance as soon as booking information is available.
  • Check supplier invoices against each purchase order to ensure correct items were shipped.
  • Verify BL information matches what we have on our orders.
  • Check port terminals where containers are due to arrive and ensure pickup is made prior to free time ending.
  • Communicate clearly with the warehouses regarding repacking of items, moving goods from one SKU to another, destruction of inventory and other project-based requests.
  • Follow up on pending requests sent to warehouse.
  • Check consolidator portal and follow up on pending pickups, issues that may be holding up orders and communicate with portfolio managers and suppliers to resolve.
  • Communicate with carriers regarding ETA’s (ocean and domestic).
  • Update Navision (ERP system) with most up to date shipping information.
  • Stay on top of emails and respond in timely manner.
