NJ – SPIRITS SPECIALIST
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Spirits expert to join our team. Who is efficient at problem solving and able to communicate effectively with our customers. This individual will be responsible for maximizing the distribution and selling of Skurnik Spirits brands in On-Premise and off premise accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist sales representative to promote brands:
- Account visits
- Spirits Samples
- In Office Tastings
- Responsible for R & D
- Supports portfolio education for sales representatives and customers
- Make regular sales calls on assigned accounts to maintain relationships
- Effective communication with customers for the purpose of generating sales
- In Store Spirits Tastings
- Participation in company meeting and events:
- Sales Meetings
- Seminars
- Completing sales-focused initiatives, goals, and incentives
- Reporting & Data Analytics
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 + years of sales experience to include Alcohol Beverage, Hospitality, Culinary, Bars, Supplier/Wholesale, or tasting room experience.
- Travel is required along with a car and a clean driving record
- Microsoft Office

SALES SUPPORT TEAM
We are seeking candidates with self-starting personalities, with the ability to multi-task, problem solve, and communicate effectively. With an expanding portfolio of wines, spirit and sake, our sales team is growing, and “Skurnik University” provides an excellent training and preparation for internal promotion into sales and operations positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years’ experience in wine or spirits industry: restaurant, retail, wholesale
- Knowledge of major wine regions, producers and grape varieties
- Effective communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel
- iOS devices and applications
- Internet navigation
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Order Entry
- Order entry via phone and email

NY – SALES REPRESENTATIVE
LONG ISLAND
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior sales experience working on the wholesale end of the industry is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates with commensurate retail and/or restaurant experience will also be considered.
- Market network of buyers & clientele in Rochester
- Understanding of the Rochester marketplace and relevant competition
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail oriented and solution focused.
- Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office.
- Reports to: Sales Manager, New York
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and develop relationships with customers via face-to-face visits and phone/email correspondence.
- Develop expertise of Skurnik Wines’ portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the fundamental tool of establishing successful sales.
- Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies.
- Work in conjunction with Portfolio Management.
- Collaborate to facilitate sales opportunities.
- Willingly accept assignments for market work with visiting winery suppliers.
- Manage and report monthly filing of expense reports in accordance with company policy.
- Comply with all policies in accordance with our Credit Department and associated State Liquor Authority.
- Communicate regularly with the Regional Sales Manager and Credit Department as appropriate to advise of important matters at all times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
