"The 2019 Barolo Riserva Annuziata comes from a portion of the vineyard planted in 1971 with southwest exposure. Sporting a jeweled red color, it boasts a more contemplative and layered profile, with warming notes of ripe cherries, sage, fresh leather, cedar, and incense. It offers medium to full-bodied richness and depth, with ripe tannins, a refreshing spine of acidity, and a long-lasting finish. It continues to evolve in the glass as it opens and is going to be a more brooding wine to enjoy over the coming 15 or more years."

"A graceful style with superpolished fruit character, a bit confected, showing yellow stone fruit, dried cherries, vibrant preserved oranges and plenty of candied rhubarb that adds complexity. Medium-bodied with firm, dusty, ripe tannins and crisp, brilliant acidity. Juicy, savory finish. Drink or hold."

"The Mauro Molino 2019 Barolo Riserva Annunziata shows notable depth and intensity, with chalky tannins, orange peel, spice and a sense of underlying structure that promises longevity. Despite its concentration, the tannins retain a pleasing softness, giving the wine both power and approachability at this stage. Made only in the 2019 and 2020 vintages from vines planted in 1971 and aged for 30 months in wood, this Riserva clearly has the material and balance to age gracefully over the long term."
