"Bright ruby color with a nose of fresh roses, violets, pomegranate and light spiciness. The palate is focused on crunchiness, with a medium body, firm tannins soaked with blood oranges, refreshing acidity and a quite sticky finish. Try from 2030."

"Cherry, plum and earth flavors are the main themes in this fluid red. Tightly wound, refined tannins lend support, and overall this is balanced and defined on the finish. Best from 2027 through 2042. 600 cases made, 200 cases imported."

"The 2021 Barolo Marenca marries Serralunga power with a deep, resonant core of fruit. Ripe red cherry, blood orange, mint, cedar and pipe tobacco infuse the mid-palate with striking textural resonance. The Marenca is a rich, heady wine, but it is not overdone in any way. Fabulous."

"An intense and expressive wine with aromas of dried oranges, potpourri, bergamot and dried cherries. The attack is soft and supple, with lush fruit, a full body, refreshing acidity and well-packed tannins. Dusty on the finish. Drink or hold."

"A perfumed style, featuring rose, cherry, strawberry, tar and mineral aromas and flavors, this Barolo is both graceful and firmly structured. The dense, dusty tannins leave a solid grip on the finish, with a vein of red fruit peeking through. Best from 2030 through 2048."B.S."
