"Composed of 65% Nebbiolo and the rest Barbera, the 2021 Monferrato Rosso Pin is a medium brick red hue and opens with notes of cherry candies, chestnuts, and mocha. It leads with both floral and fruity aromatics that provide a nice contrast between its bright red, high-toned notes and its deeper, darker cocoa and floral perfume. The palate offers medium to full-bodied richness with a velvety texture, even acidity that drives through the wine, and a lovely finish. It has a lot of appeal, casting a large net for those who love international varietals and want to branch out, and the wine has a good deal of complexity and potential for aging. Drink 2025-2035."
