"Just bottled, the 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo is terrific. A blend of La Spinetta's four sites (Starderi, Valeirano, Gallina and Campè), the Langhe Nebbiolo is an excellent introduction to the Spinetta range. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, licorice, lavender and dried herbs are all amplified in a succulent, opulent Langhe Nebbiolo that over-delivers."

"This comes from vines at a lower elevation in the Starderi cru to the north within Barbaresco. Pouring a medium red color, the 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo has a slightly more serious feel, with impressive aromatics of rooibos, cranberries, spice, and fresh herbs. The palate is savory and medium-bodied, with a balanced ripe core of linear fruit, a characteristic fresh spine of acidity, refined tannins, and a chalky texture on the finish. Not a simple Langhe Nebbiolo, it's a more serious release to enjoy over the coming 6-8 years."
