"Restrained and austere nose of dried cherries, roses, violets, orange peel and cinnamon. Full-bodied with a tight-knit structure of fruit, crisp acidity, elegant velvety tannins and a long, savory aftertaste. More austere in the finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2029."

"The 2019 Gattinara Riserva Osso San Grato is a complex, mysterious wine. Dried herbs, mint, spice, crushed flowers and tobacco open first. Brisk acids and beams of salinity frame this super-classic Gattinara. Osso San Grato remains a reference point for the appellation. Savory and mineral overtones dominate, while fruit is pushed into the background."

"Fading cherry, strawberry, tamarind, cumin and tar flavors mingle in this taut, linear red. More about finesse than power, with fine balance and an iron-tinged finish. Drink now. 400 cases made, 140 cases imported."

"The 2020 Gattinara Riserva Osso San Grato is immediately distinguished by its creamy, layered personality. Dried flowers, blood orange, spice and sweet floral overtones build over time. Elegant and refined, Osso San Grato is sublime in 2020. This is an unusually open-knit vintage for Antoniolo's flagship wine."

"The 2018 Gattinara Riserva Osso San Grato is one of the great wines of the vintage. It offers notable depth married with a feeling of classicism that is palpable. Dark fruit, leather, spice, menthol, licorice, lavender and mocha all take flight from the glass. Vertical and soaring, the 2018 is seriously impressive."

"The 2017 Gattinara Riserva Osso San Grato is an especially potent, savory wine in 2017. In most vintages, Osso San Grato is the most refined wine at Antoniolo, but that is not at all the case in 2017. Strong savory and earthy notes infuse the bouquet with quite a bit of character. Bold and powerful on the palate, with forbidding tannins, the 2017 is a wine to bury in the deepest corner of the cellar."

"This red has a fresh edge, which defines the cherry, strawberry, iron and tobacco flavors. Reveals a hint of eucalyptus that creeps in, as does the refined yet dense tannic structure. Well-proportioned and long on the finish. Best from 2025 through 2042. 400 cases made, 30 cases imported."

"Aromas of incense and potpourri figure prominently in this maturing red, whose fading cherry and berry flavors are matched by leather, tobacco and mineral accents. This ends with a light, dusty feel on the long, fresh finish. Drink now through 2028. 400 cases made, 120 cases imported.  "BS"
