"The 2021 Barolo Castelletto is a total delight. Aromatic, light on its feet and super-expressive, the 2021 picks off where the 2020 left off. Orange peel, crushed rose petal, sweet dried cherry fruit and mint all grace the palate. This understated, classy Barolo is all finesse and understatement. Give the tannins a year or two to start softening."

"The 2020 Barolo Castelletto is a gorgeous wine from Seghesio. Dried herbs, sage, lavender, menthol, licorice, mocha and pine are some of the many notes that develop with a bit of time in the glass. There's gorgeous complexity and uncommon character here. This vivid, dynamic red is quite the overachiever. Best of all, the 2020 can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring. It's an exquisite Barolo in every way."

"The nose is captivating‡a delicate blend of cherries kissed with cinnamon and star anise, interwoven with the herbal dryness of thyme and pine. On the palate, this wine offers a rounded, juicy core of varied fruits, both tart and sweet, as if freshly picked and preserved. A m,lange of savory and sweet spices unfolds seamlessly, accompanied by supple, ripe tannins, all culminating in a subtly umami-infused finish. "
