"The 2022 Barbera d'Alba Campass is a ripe, exotically lush wine. Black cherry, plum, spice, leather, menthol and chocolate are all dialed up. The personality of this warm, dry year is more evident here than it is in the Serraboella just bottled two months ago. The Campass is still coming together. I would like to taste this in another few months' time."

"Offers bright black cherry, blackberry, violet and earth flavors up front, with a modicum of dry tannins following through on the finish. Overall, this red maintains a sense of balance, with fine length. Drink now through 2029. 330 cases made, 110 cases imported."

"The 2021 Barbera d'Alba Campass is fabulous. Rich, inky and explosive, the 2021 saturates the palate with blackberry jam, blueberry, mocha, sweet spice and lavender. The 2021 spent 18 months in French oak barrels, 20% new. It's an approach that works beautifully here. The 2021 is a stunner."

"The 2021 Barbera D'Alba Campass is from a single vineyard within Serraboella. It displays a deeper violet/purple color and is lifted in the glass with more spice and high-toned lift as well as more concentration in its notes of red cherries, candied blackberries, licorice, black pepper, and dried purple flowers. Medium to full-bodied, it's ripe but has a vibrant spine of acidity, a lovely snap, and great length. Drink 2024-2032."

"The 2020 Barbera d'Alba Campass is superb. Rich and sumptuous in the glass, the Campass offers up a heady mix of red/purplish fruit, mocha, lavender, licorice and spice. Everything is dialed up in this gorgeous Barbera from Cigliuti. The 2020 spent 18 months in neutral French oak."
