"From an east-facing site in Treiso and produced in very small quantities, the 2023 Barbaresco Giacosa pours a bright transparent ruby hue. Aromas of fresh raspberries, dusty earth, flowers, and anise emerge from the glass. Medium-bodied, it has a cooling feel with refreshing tension and well-defined structure. The wine was aged in a 3,000-liter barrel and one tonneau. Drink 2026-2040."

"A restrained, if not low-key wine, showing licorice, red currants and red cherries. Medium-bodied and quite taut on the palate, with crisp acidity and firm, dusty tannins. Quintessential nebbiolo: austere and angular in the finish. Try after 2028."
