"The 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo from Cavallotto is a lovely wine, starting with its aromas of red berry, wild rose, hay and peach pit. Elegant and fresh, the palate offers succulent strawberry, bitter orange, star anise and pink peppercorn before an almost salty finish. Made from the estate™s youngest Nebbiolo vines and aged for 15-18 months in Slavonian oak casks, it has lithe tannins and surprisingly fresh acidity for the vintage."

"The 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo is aged for 18 months in large Slavonian oak casks and pours a youthful ruby red color. It offers a ripe perfume that™s a bit shy, but the palate really shines, offering ripe red berries, a bit of rustic earth, fresh tobacco, and incense. Medium-bodied, zesty, and refreshing, with a good balance of sunny pure fruit, fine tannins, and refreshing acidity, it™s a very appealing Nebbiolo to drink now or over the next 8-10 years. A star in this category, no doubt, it™s delicious and I would snap it up. Drink 2026-2036."

"Mid to deep youthful ruby. Beautifully perfumed cherry and raspberry-coulis nose with savoury spice notes. Still a little compact but with great aromatic length and bags of gravelly tannins. Very long and compelling. Ageworthy stuff. (WS) 14.5%"
