This inaugural release of Stellum Specialty Rye takes elements of the core Stellum Rye and enhances it with casks of exceptional character by utilizing the Fibonacci sequence to determine the ratio of each separate whiskey blend. The Fibonacci Sequence, a naturally occurring series of numbers wherein each number is the sum of the previous two, is found everywhere in nature, and when coupled with the knowledge, experience, intuition, and palates of the Stellum team, has yielded an astounding rye whiskey more savory in style than the traditional Stellum rye.

The Fibonacci Sequence, a naturally occurring series of numbers wherein each number is the sum of the previous two, is found everywhere in nature, and when coupled with the knowledge, experience, intuition, and palates of the Stellum team, has yielded an astounding rye whiskey.

Fibonacci Blend #1 opens with aromas of charred oak, cinnamon, and tobacco which transition to a palate of honey, lemon, brown butter, and clove. The long finish carries ginger, apple, and burnt orange peel. What began as a concept at Barrell Craft Spirits ultimately came to fruition in the Stellum labs where the expert team applied rigorous scientific processes to craft this limited release rye. "Plenty of cinnamon spice on the nose, sweetly balanced by vanilla bean, some fresh, green notes, and root beer float. While the palate starts off quite hot, once the Red Hots surge passes a lovely dollop of honey emerges, followed soon after by creme bru?le?e. Raspberry syrup adds a nice, if subdued, fruity zing. The finish cuts off fairly quickly, but it packs a fiery punch. (9,000 bottles)—Julia Higgins"

"Attention math fans: this is a blend of six cask-strength rye blends (distilled in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee) combined in accordance with the Fibonacci sequence, a series of numbers, each the sum of the two previous numbers. So how does it taste? There's lots of oak, vanilla, brown sugar and baking spice, leading into a butterscotch finish tinged with tingly, peppery heat. KARA NEWMAN"
