"Pouring a youthful magenta/ruby hue, the 2022 Amor Costante is a blend dominated by Merlot with Sangiovese and comes from galestro-rich soils that lend a darker mineral edge. The nose is expressive and polished, with candied red apple, red cherry, crushed flowers, and milk chocolate. The palate is silky and supple without feeling weighted, and with roughly 1,000 bottles produced, it™s a beautiful, distinctive wine that should age effortlessly. Drink 2026-2050."

"Blending 80% Merlot with 20% Sangiovese, the Gianni Brunelli Le Chiuse di Sotto 2022 Amor Costante offers a refreshing departure from the estate™s Sangiovese-focused wines, leaning into black cherry sweetness and softness from Merlot while retaining a lift of freshness from Sangiovese. The palate shows enough structure and texture to pair comfortably with rich pasta dishes and long-cooked meat sauces, though the vintage feels more immediately flashy than it is persistent. The style prioritizes approachability and charm over depth, making it enjoyable in the near term. Production totals 2,613 bottles."

"The Gianni Brunelli Le Chiuse di Sotto 2021 Amor Costante is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Sangiovese (with only 2,333 bottles produced). This wine is a lot of fun with bright cherry, pomegranate and chewy Jolly Rancher candy aromas. That combination adds to the brightness and richness of the mouthfeel. You gotta love this departure from classic Montalcino."

"A round, juicy and flavorful red. The nose shows notes of currants, cassis and some sweet spices. It™s medium- to full-bodied with fine tannins. Refined texture with control. A lively core of juicy berries at the center meets vivid spices and herbs funneling toward the vibrant finish. Drink or hold."
