• Mash bill of 73% white corn, 17% malted barley, and 10% rye
• Distilled in a Vendome copper column still
• Aged 4 years
• Blend of 130 barrels
• Caramel corn, orange zest, toasted peanuts, and rosemary on the nose transition to a palate of light brown sugar, lemon meringue, sage, and sugar cookies with black pepper and allspice balanced by delicate chrysanthemum and mint on the finish
• Non-chill filtered; 50% ABV

Castle & Key’s small-batch approach to whiskey prioritizes blending the best expression of a pod of barrels while still creating a consistent house style. The result? A nuanced blend for each release that continues to prove why Castle & Key is one of the most exciting new names in Kentucky spirits. 2024’s Batch 1 does away with the vintage placard on the bottle, replacing it with Castle & Key’s distilled spirits plant number, or DSP, indicating the historic legacy of the distillery as the eighteenth federally licensed distillery in the US.
