  • Single cask, single malt Scotch whisky produced by Isle of Rassay [RAAH•see] Distillery in Raasay, Scotland
  • Produced from Concerto barley peated to 48 ppm
  • Double-distilled in Frilli copper pot stills
  • Non-age statement; matured entirely in a new toasted and charred Chinkapin oak cask
  • Waves of confectionary cacao, butterscotch, toffee, and vanilla precede a rich palate of smoked cherry wood, vanilla custard, wet leather, and green papaya with ginger, milk chocolate, and faint toasted almond on the finish
  • 269 bottles produced
  • Non-chill filtered; bottled without added coloring at a cask strength of 61.4% ABV

This single cask release from Isle of Raasay’s Na Sia (Gaelic for “The Six” and pronounced “neh shee-ah”) series offers a deep dive into one of the six styles of single malt produced by the distillery. Aged entirely in Chinkapin oak which has been toasted to caramelize the natural sugars in the wood and then charred to provide rich flavors early in the maturation process, the resulting whisky shows depth and complexity beyond its age.
