"Restrained, with a mix of fruit and flowers on the nose, showing smoky woodland, licorice, red cherries, strawberries and abundant violets. Medium-bodied, with good extraction, crisp acidity and a biting yet well-balanced finish. Drink or hold."

"The 2024 Rosso Di Montalcino boasts a bright red hue with an orange tinge and offers lifted aromatics of cranberries, orange zest, dried herbs, and toasted spice. The palate is lean to medium-bodied and snappy, with fresh acidity, balanced tension, and dusty earth notes that come through on the finish. It™s best enjoyed now and over the next 5-6 years. Drink 2026-2032."

"Darkly alluring, the 2021 Rosso di Montalcino slowly comes to life with a beguiling blend of mentholated herbs, pine shavings and dried strawberries. This sweeps across the palate with textures of pure silk, soothing all that it touches with ripe red fruits and rosy inner florals guided by vibrant acidity. It finishes structured, potent and long, punching well above its weight class, as licorice mingles with savory spices through the youthfully tense finale. This is next-level Rosso di Montalcino. In a word, spellbinding."

"Rich, vibrant and complex, this Rosso delivers cherry, raspberry, iron and Tuscan scrub flavors. This is harmonious and firms up nicely on the finish. Fine aftertaste. Drink now through 2030. 2,933 cases made, 1,000 cases imported."

"Andrea Cortonesi™s reputation for Brunello continues to grow, but the Rosso remains under the radar. This traditionally made wine has a rich, spicy nose with plenty of tomato puree and black cherry. The palate is firm and structured, with bags of tannins, showing good acidity and chew. It should continue to develop well over the next four to six years. Bold, gutsy, crowdpleasing and thoroughly Tuscan, this is a wine for the famous cucina povera " dishes with beans and oil, and fat-spiked meats."

"Fragrant blue flower aromas mingle with leather, underbrush, juniper and spice on the quintessential 2022 Rosso from Uccelliera. Full-bodied but also youthfully fresh and balanced, the delicious palate delivers ripe Morello cherry, licorice and dried mint alongside polished tannins. It™s already accessible so enjoy over the next few years to capture the succulent fruit. Drink through 2027. Abv: 14.5%"

"The 2022 Rosso di Montalcino entices with a whiff of mint leaf and sage before giving way to crushed black cherries, clove and white smoke. This shows the ripeness of the vintage in a beautifully balanced package, with mineral-laced red and blue fruits that swirl across textures of pure silk. It finishes incredibly long, repeating its mineral strength. Sweet tannins linger through the violet-tinged finale. The 2022 is an understated beauty."

"The Uccelliera 2021 Rosso di Montalcino shows floral aromas of dried rose, lavender and potpourri. There is fruit in the background with dried currant or cranberry, but it is not exactly center stage. Those floral notes are the protagonists along with autumnal leaf and balsam herb. This wine has the classic bouquet of a Rosso, but the wine's structure and tannic level is more impactful than most. Production is 26,400 bottles plus larger formats."

"A ripe red color, the 2022 Rosso Di Montalcino is a potent little Rosso on the nose, with notes of wild cherries, anise, and pine needles. Medium-bodied, with good structure, it™s showing the warmth of the vintage, with modest acidity. but it retains good freshness in spite of that. It™s a very charming wine to enjoy over the next 2-3 years."
