"The 2023 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru includes 30% whole bunch with 20% new oak. This has an intense bouquet, actually quite Volnay in style with blood orange infusing the black cherry and raspberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a delicately poised entry and fine tannins. Certainly a more elegantly styled Pommard, this has a refined, silky-smooth finish and will probably drink earlier than Clerget's Volnays."
