Lemon Meadow, the fourth release in Nc’nean’s Huntress series, foregrounds the distillery’s core passion for experimentation—in this case, exploring how different yeast strains produce unique flavors. For this expression, Nc’nean chose to work with a strain of Champagne yeast rarely used in Scotch whisky production, they investigated in their very first yeast trial in 2017. The results are in the glass: combined with maturation in the house’s signature combination of casks, this flavorful whisky delivers a unique and lively pop of buttery and citrusy notes, delightfully evoking Nc’nean’s ethos as a small distillery unafraid of discovering new paths within an established craft.

"Don't let the roughish nose fool you, because massive amounts of flavor await in the glass. From golden raisins to oolong tea, with a bit of wasabi zip on the finish and a touch of pepper, this is lovely and complex. Water makes it chewier and brings out a bit of leather and lots of wood, all while keeping its balance. A whisky with guts."
