• Twice distilled in Forsyths copper pot stills; casks were filled from April–July 2006

• The dance between bourbon-cask influence and a heavy peat regimen takes center stage; rich notes of butterscotch, vanilla, and caramel, along with hints of toasted oak on the nose, lead to a full-bodied, robust palate with sweet caramel and stewed fruits balanced by measured peat smoke and subtle saltiness. The finish is long, with lingering echoes of toffee and butterscotch closing with hints of sea and smoke.

One of the first distilleries founded following the dark decades of the Scotch Whisky Loch, Kilchoman celebrates its 20th year on Islay the best way a distillery can—with a landmark, age-stated release. The crown jewel of the celebration (a collection of four distinct expressions) is vatted from five ex-bourbon barrels aged 18 years and specially selected by Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills. This is the oldest release yet from the distillery, and it exemplifies not only Kilchoman’s elegant style, but also the perseverance and devotion to craft that have made Kilchoman a standout among the new generation of Scottish distillers.
