"The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru comes from three parcels and is done with 100% whole bunch with the central stem removed. This has a heavenly bouquet with intense red berry fruit, crushed stone and forest floor scents. There is real energy here. The palate is well balanced with a silky-smooth entry, tart red berry fruit and a dash of white pepper and allspice toward the finish. Excellent."

"The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru delivers aromas of rose petals, sweet red berries and cinnamon, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent palate, concluding with a floral finish. Cherbaudes, which is sometimes included in this blend, is likely to be bottled separately this year."
