• 25.1% Aberlour Distillery single malt aged in re-charred American oak barrels
• 20.5% blended grain whisky aged in refill bourbon barrels
• 16.6% Miltonduff Distillery single malt aged in first-fill bourbon barrels
• 7.1% Bowmore Distillery single malt aged in refill bourbon barrels
• 4.9% blended Scotch aged primarily in a first-fill bourbon barrel
• Aromas of vanilla and honey precede a rich, complex palate of fudge, apricot, and pineapple with sultana and hints of smoky woods on a long, sweet finish
• Limited release of 5,550 bottles
• No added coloring
• Non-chill filtered; 49% ABV

Compass Box’s Extinct Blends Quartet reimagines four blended Scotches—which would otherwise be lost to the past—using some of their rarest and most idiosyncratic whisky stocks. Metropolis is based upon a well-respected blend from The Glenmorangie Company, for which production ended around a decade ago, renowned for having the highest malt content of any blended Scotch. Metropolis recalls that extinct blend with rich, honeyed parcels coupled with a touch of smoke courtesy of whisky from the Bowmore Distillery.
