  • Tropical, Christmas-spice aromas on the nose deliver a mix of nutmeg, candied orange peel, saffron, and star anise. The palate is juicy and herbaceous with raisin, angelica root, clove, and cardamom and a long, spicy finish of seeded rye bread, cumin, and cinnamon.

Evocative of gin, aquavit, and herbal liqueurs, Escubac is inspired by an old English Tudor recipe called Royal Usquebaugh which was later adopted by the French, who renamed it Escubac. Rendered obsolete for nearly a century, it was revived by Sweetdram in 2015 and remains the only expression of this historical aromatic spirit today. Enjoy it as an aperitif neat or on the rocks with a citrus twist, utilize it as an herbaceous modifier, or even use it as a full or partial substitute for your favorite base spirit in cocktails—you’ll be astounded by its versatility!
