"The 2023 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru comes from the lieu-dit of Les Grands Maupertui, vinified with 50% whole bunch and 50% new oak. This is very perfumed and floral on the nose, with fine delineation, red berry fruit and scents of briar and crushed limestone. The palate is medium-bodied and quite saline with slightly chalky tannins, as darker/blacker fruit emerge toward the finish. Superior to the 2022 in my opinion, this is a sophisticated Clos de Vougeot."
