• Soothing and fruity nose that blends chamomile tea, honeysuckle, lemon curd, fresh toast, and peach gummies. Honeysuckle persists on the palate, welcomed by bold layers of vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce, granola, and ripe pears. Citrus zest, spice, and a whiff of pine accentuate the finish.

• Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 60.5% ABV

Founded in 1896 by John and Tommy Dewar and now owned by John Dewar and Sons under the Bacardi umbrella, this Southern Highlands legacy distillery was designed to produce malt for White Label, one of the world’s best-selling blended whiskeys. Single malts have also consistently been offered in their own bottlings, and the house is known for a distinctive sweet, honeyed style, waxy palate, and eye-catching gold color—the “Golden Dram,” so called. Enthusiasts will claim that the color results from gold that is present (and still panned for) in the distillery’s water source, nearby Pitilie Burn.
