When Steve Kistler founded Kistler with Mark Bixler in 1978, his ambition was the same as it is now, to make Burgundian- style wine from Sonoma’s cool climates. Occidental is where Steve finally decided to put his roots after 35 years of working with vineyards throughout Northern California.

OLD 49 Distilling was launched by David Glicksman and Aaron Fitzgerald in 2017, legitimizing a family legacy of distilling that began in the 1940s. This LA-based project speaks to both the past and present through two of its most charismatic spirits, Nat Kidder Vodka and Catalina Apéro.
