Sacred Spring vodka takes its name from Castle & Key’s limestone-rich water source located at the heart of the distillery’s grounds. The other critical ingredient in this exceptional vodka is the grain; Castle & Key leans into the cereal richness of its classic bourbon mash to produce a clean, lightly sweet vodka with an unctuous, silky texture. Versatile in cocktails, it’s a respectable sipper—a whiskey drinker’s vodka, if you will.

Tasting Notes

‘Sacred Spring’ Vodka has the same mash bill as Castle & Key’s small batch straight bourbon; 73% white corn, 10% rye, and 17% malted barley. Its first distillation takes place on a 50’ Vendome copper column still, followed by a 600-gallon copper pot still, then finally on a custom Vendome vodka still. Proofed with water sourced from Castle & Key’s historic “key”-shaped limestone spring, the aroma is light and sweet with hints of cashew and citrus that extends to the clean palate, followed by vanilla bean and a hint of buttered, multigrain toast. Non-chill filtered; 40% ABV

"From Kentucky's Castle & Key Distillery, this vodka is produced from the same mash bill that ultimately provides the brand's bourbon (73 percent corn, 10 percent rye, and 17 percent malted barley). Brimming with sweet and spicy grain notes, subtle hints of dried fruits and nuts bring extra layers, placing this bottle among the most characterful American vodkas on the market right now."
