The latest batch from Santanera’s Organic Terroir collection, Partida, was distilled as a tribute to Don Jesús Partida, the founder of Destilería Tres Mujeres and mentor to Santanera founder Pablo Lara. This is the eighth batch from the series and the final one to be distilled at Tres Mujeres as Destilería Santanera transitions to its own brand-new, state-of-the-art distillery. This special release symbolizes Santanera’s growth, made possible by the generosity and knowledge shared by Don Jesús. The Partida batch was produced from organic, hillside agave grown on sloped terrain with low water retention—a stressful environment that results in a fruity, floral sweetness carried from the land to the bottle. This is an absolute showstopper, with complex flavors seamlessly integrated after more than a year in glass, and also marks Santanera’s highest ABV tequila thus far!
