“I love this barrel. It smells like cherry blossoms and fresh cut grass. Maple Syrup and spearmint tea. On the palate it is robust and mouth coating. Very rich texture, like milk chocolate. The spearmint tea from the nose continues, followed by a bit of Werther’s Original. The finish is long and oddly cooling for a cask-strength rye whiskey.
