"This extraordinary Finger Lakes dry riesling has mind-blowing concentration and energy. The intensity of yellow grapefruit and wild herb aromas is off the scale. Still very tightly wound, this has clearly been made for the long term. In spite of its deep structure, it's really silky on the compact, medium-bodied palate. Dense, extremely minerally finish that takes your breathe away. Hand-picked and sold-soaked for five days before wild fermentation in stainless steel. Drink from release. Screw cap."

"I know that some of the aromas, particularly the intense grilled grapefruit note, are very different from Clos Ste. Hune in Alsace, but this has the same kind of concentration and stature as a warm vintage wine from that great site. Incredibly long with incredible precision, the acidity is already so beautifully integrated on the mouth-filling, medium- to full-bodied palate. Very long and compact flinty, minerally finish that continues to expand as the wine aerates. Limited production. Vegan. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"The 2023 Riesling The Knoll Lahoma Vineyards is a beautifully built wine, with crushed rocks, lime and a truckload of honey-slathered white flowers coursing through. This unique sandstone site is clearly well suited to sophisticated, layered, complex wines. Tense and focused on the finish, the 2023 is built on ample fruit concentration and spiced citrus. It clocks in at 13% alcohol and is noticeably fleshier than some of its peers, but that mix works oh so well. This wine will likely reach great heights as Kelby James Russell dials in the farming and approach here. This is a Grand Cru site in the Finger Lakes."
