"Complex mineral and flint aromas are supported by layers of white flowers, lemon pith, orange blossoms and profound chalkiness. The palate is medium-bodied with energetic acidity and a vivid mouthfeel, giving a chewy sensation, a mouthwatering finish and a steely, granitic aftertaste. Excellent energy and complexity from a site that also produces refined reds. Delicious. Drink or hold."

"The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de l'Arlot Blanc 1er Cru, which was taken from tank and will be bottled in December. This has quite a leesy bouquet as you would expect, though with fine energy and delineation, touches of Anjou pear emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a lovely texture, a little honeyed, though not overtly tropical with a delicate touch of spice that enlivens the finish, hints of peach skin on the aftertaste. This might well surpass the previous vintage."

"Complex nose of candied orange peel, orange blossoms and fresh almonds with hints of vanilla and beeswax. Here is exactly the combination of concentration, restrained ripeness and elegance that we look for in high-end white Burgundy. At the upper edge of medium-bodied, the candied citrus character expands as it flows over your palate. Very long, complete finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold."

"The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de l'Arlot Blanc 1er Cru has a more complex bouquet with orange blossom, walnut oil and crushed stone scents that unfurl in the glass. There is a real sense of energy and fine delineation. The palate is beautifully balanced with real intensity and drive; the acidity maintains tension and energy. Wonderful detail and nuance on the finish with touches of hazelnut, chamomile and spices. Long and tender, this is a top-notch...what I thought was Meursault but turns out to be Nuits Saint-Georges! Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting."
