"The 2023 Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru contains 70% whole bunch with the central stem removed. This has a perfumed bouquet with red berry fruit, blackberry, pressed violet petals and a touch of blood orange. The palate is medium-bodied with more sucrosity on the entry compared to other cuvées, but this remains tensile and focused. It concludes with a harmonious, satin-textured finish. Wonderful."

"The 2020 Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru has an impressive nose: well-defined and focused, graphite-tinged red fruit, sous-bois and more mineralité than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid black fruit. This shows good depth, touches of black olive and cracked black pepper with a persistent, quite robust finish. Afford this 4-5 years in bottle. There's promise here, but it's definitely a keeper. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting."
