"This distinctive, characterful wine epitomises the 'old school' style of the 2021 vintage, with vibrant pomegranate and cranberry fruit accented with notes of minerals, mint and smoke. The texture remains tannic and fresh, despite showing some age. Although it lacks the generous ripeness of the 2022 and 2023 vintages, it shows the potential of Le Chapitre even in a challenging year. The grapes are from just over a hectare of east-facing vines; they are entirely fermented as whole clusters and aged for 18 months in a combination of large oak upright foudres and in smaller barrels."
