Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 and is the first distillery to be built on Islay for over 120 years. Kilchoman displays all that is great about the grass-roots traditions of Scotch whisky distilling. In addition to being one of the few distilleries to still practice floor malting, barley is also grown on the farm, making Kilchoman the only distillery to employ all parts of the whisky-making process on site. Tasting Notes

This 14-year-old single cask was selected by the ImpEx team in April 2019 while visiting the distillery. Cask # 2006/18 is the 18th cask filled at Kilchoman in 2006 as well as the 30th cask ever filled at the distillery (the distillery only filled 12 casks in 2005 when they first opened in December of that year). As a result, this is some of the oldest whisky Kilchoman has ever bottled, sourced from the earliest casks filled. It was chosen to commemorate the 10th anniversary of partnership between Kilchoman and ImpEx Beverages. 53% ABV
