It can be difficult to put time into perspective, but for a young distillery such as Kilchoman, time is easily measured in age statements. This landmark release for the distillery, the oldest global bottling to date at 16 years of age, is composed of a vatting of 21 barrels—mostly ex-bourbon with a hint of rich Oloroso sherry—that captures Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills’s steadfast vision of perfectly balanced Islay malt whisky.
