• Muted, deep gold in the glass, this whisky opens with a nose of confectionary pear and dried tropical fruits like pineapple and mango. The sumptuous marriage of barley and bourbon is writ large on the palate, which is all about vanilla ice cream, warm caramel sauce, and spiced apple cake followed by roasted hazelnuts, toasted grain, and spun sugar. The finish is long and warm, flecked with suggestions of coffee and cocoa.
