"The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Très Vieilles Vignes is a blend of three different parcels between 80 and 100 years old from three terroirs. This has a very floral bouquet with wilted rose petal infusing the vivacious red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth texture, the removal of the pedicels lending a silkiness that I don't think you would obtain otherwise. Lightly spiced toward the harmonious finish, this is one of Mortet's more sensual offerings in 2023."

"The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Très Vieilles Vignes is lovely, wafting from the glass with notes of dark berries, orange zest, spices and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that's rich and creamy, the vintage expressing this bottling's tendency toward structure as simply greater depth and weight of fruit."
