"A dusting of sweet spice and minty herbs blows off to reveal dried black cherry and shavings of cedar as the 2023 Etna Rosso Moganazzi comes to life in the glass. This is cool and supple with an exotic tinge of tropical citrus that elevates its ripe wild berry fruits. The 2023 leaves a situation of primary concentration further enhanced by edgy tannins balanced by a bump of juicy acidity. The Moganazzi is already strutting its stuff, yet this has the balance for a steady evolution."

"The 2022 Etna Rosso Moganazzi has come together beautifully over the last year. This is explosive today, with a vivid mix of incense, clove and cinnamon stick that gives way to crushed blood orange and dusty black cherry notes. Its energy impresses first, washing across the palate with a soft and supple nature as depths of ripe red berry fruits slowly infuse the senses with a fresh, citrusy hint. Long and structured yet still accessible, the 2022 finishes with amazing concentration. This deserves an upgrade. "

"Aromas of fragrant purple flower, wild herb, dark-skinned fruit, cocoa and a whiff of resin form the nose on the radiant 2022 Mogannazzi. Showing vibrancy and elegant restraint, the full-bodied palate offers ripe raspberry, red currant, dark spice and dried mint set against tight, close-grained tannins that leave a firm finish. "From a small vineyard at 700-750 metres on steep terraces, with an ash topsoil over stones. Fleshy red and black cherry aromas with some cocoa and balsam make for an enticing wine. In the mouth it's rich and intense, with good acidity injecting freshness into the black cherry, blackberry, violet and cocoa palate. The tannins are fine and grippy, clearly evident on the cheeks, supporting the concentrated, precise core. Full and delicious."
