Torre Mora is a boutique estate dedicated to organic viticulture, preserving traditional vinification methods, and cultivating Sicily’s indigenous varieties. The winery’s two vineyards are located in the Contrada Dafara Galluzzo in Rovittello and in the Contrada Alboretto Chiuse del Signore in Liguaglossa. Torre Mora’s philosophy in the vineyard follows the principle of “one vine – one territory,” referring to the singular combination of historical legacy, quality, and expression in the wines produced on Mount Etna’s high-altitude slopes. As these slopes are often incredibly steep, the estate utilizes a combination of vine training systems: spurred cordon training in the few flat areas, while sapling training is used on the vineyard’s terraces. The volcanic soil is simultaneously fertile while possessing a notable capacity for drainage, adding depth and concentration to the fruit.
