"From Murgo's higher-end line and made with the best estate grapes, the Tenuta San Michele 2022 Etna Bianco is a great expression of Etna's white grapes and volcanic soils. Made with 60% Carricante and 40% Catarratto and other grapes – all organically farmed – it opens with alluring aromas of Spanish broom, lychee, Mediterranean scrub and flinty mineral. Polished and savory but also boasting elegant restraint, the palate delivers green pear, lemon peel, hazelnut, a dollop of vanilla and saline accompanied by bright acidity. Drink through 2028. "The 2022 Etna Bianco Tenuta San Michele entices with a whiff of vanillin spices and embers before giving way to pretty white peach and lemon oil aromas. It's round and supple with ripe orchard fruits underscored by salty minerals and a citrus tinge. The 2022 finishes full of zesty tension that puckers the cheeks as a savory herbal resonance fades slowly."

"An exquisite mix of grapefruit and white-pepper minerality. Light-bodied, this has precise lemon definition allied to a mineral-laden palate, crisp acidity and a polished finish. Drink now."
