"Terrific grapefruit and chamomile aromas are wrapped around the tightly wound mineral core of this very exciting Finger Lakes dry riesling. Medium-bodied with terrific drive, this powers its way over the palate, showing citrus and wet-stone freshness in the finish. Aeration brings out a toasty dimension from long lees contact. A limited-production wine from the hillock in front of the farmhouse. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"The 2024 Dry Riesling Lahoma Vineyard Pentecostal Block is driven by spice tones and serious minerality. It also feels like the most embryonic wine in the lineup, not entirely knit together today, a sketch of what it will hopefully become in time. The Spatlëse-style bottling from the same block tasted alongside shares very few similarities and is markedly more harmonious, suggesting I either caught this in a period of shutdown or the slightly earlier harvest for this bottling wasn't quite as favorable. Broader and burlier than the other dry Rieslings in the range, this finishes with a spritzy citrus-zest character that tingles on the tongue. There's plenty of raw material here, but it's still coming into focus. I remain optimistic."
