"The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Champ Gain 1er Cru has a little more phenolics on the nose compared to the Les Masures, with just a hint of peach skin in the background behind the more malic scents. The palate is well balanced with a fresh citric line of acidity, and a dab of sour lemon decorates the finish. Hardcore…in a good way."

"Pillot always seems to achieve good cut and tension in this climat, and his 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gain is once again very nicely proportioned, opening in the glass with notes of peach, minty pear and white flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, taut and chalky palate."
