"The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet La Grande Montagne 1er Cru has a light and fresh nose of sea cave and light citrus fruit; it is understated compared to the bravura 2022 this time last year. The palate is very elegant and poised, maybe the most detailed of Thierry Pillot's Chassagnes, with a finish that fans out beautifully. This really translates its terroir, and overall it will match the previous vintage. It's that good."

"Wafting from the glass with aromas of pear, green apples, white flowers, nutmeg and melon, the 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Grand Montagne is medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a cool core of fruit, lively acids and an ample, suave profile."
