"The 2021 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a generous nose with a mixture of red and black fruit, iodine and iris flower scents, a little musky in style. Returning after 10 minutes, it evolves a kind of New World Pinot allure which is maybe not what I ordered when it says Clos de la Roche on the label. At the same time, it does offer sensorial pleasure. The palate is well balanced with a sour cherry and crushed strawberry note, linear in style like its peers, fresh with fine precision and stoniness on the finish. Overall, this is a very fine 2021 that should repay cellaring. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting."
