"The 2021 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico BDN lifts from the glass with a mentholated blend of balsam herbs and exotic spice before giving way to crushed blackberries. It's soft-textured, nearly creamy in feel, with violet inner florals that cascade above a core of herb-tinged wild berry fruit. This tapers off long and lightly structured, leaving the mouth watering for more as an air of lavender slowly fades."

"Showing its vineyard designate on the front label, the Valle dell'Acate 2021 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico BDN Vigna di Biddine Soprana (made with certified organic fruit) is a blend of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato. The wine starts off in stainless steel and then ages for 12 months in botte and tonneaux. You get a much clearer presentation of dark fruit, cherry and blackcurrant in this vintage. There are added nuances of crushed stone and some very light spice from the aging. This is a sultry (but also slightly sweet) and elegant medium-weight red, with 40,000 bottles created."

"Aÿwarm earthiness forms the foundation of the nose, while aromas of rose petal, cherry and strawberry gust past. Earthy floral elements persist on the palate, for a delicate yet nuanced wine that finishes with black pepper crackling around dusty tannins. ‡D.C."
