"Lots of dark fruit, such as black cherries and blue plums, as well as purple flowers, followed by a touch of cedar and coffee bean. Medium body with balanced, creamy acidity and firm tannins on the palate. Yet, it,s tight now. Better after 2027."

"Curious, impenetrable dark ruby, with narrow, bright bricky rim. Rich and almost thick on the nose with cherry compote and touches of dried fruit. Amarena cherry and lots of acidity on the palate, but even that cannot hide the fact that the fruit is losing steam fast. (WS) 14%"

"The 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino Vigna Delle Raunate takes a second to open in the glass and then reveals ripe aromas of red plums, tar, and balsamic herbs, and a delicate and pleasing rustic note of saddle leather. Medium to full-bodied, it has lovely concentration on the palate, with ripe tannins, good purity, and notes of black tea on the finish. It's a very well styled wine to enjoy over the coming 10-12 years."

"Good full red. Coffee, cocoa and tobacco vie for attention with red cherry and smoke on the nose and in the mouth. Bigger and deeper than the 2019 Brunello, but this needs time to further soften and develop nuance. Drinking window: 2030-2040"

"A rich blend of plum sauce and grilled herbs is complemented by hints of licorice and spiced blood orange as the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Della Raunate blossoms in the glass. This is silky, verging on velvety, with a dense wave of ripe red and black fruits that flow across a stream of brisk acidity. Its minerality comes forward on the finish, mingling with edgy tannins, yet the palate remains wonderfully refreshed through it all. This is a beautiful interpretation of Tavernelle terroir. Well done."
