"Due to reduced quantities in 2019, the Lisini family decided to sacrifice their Ugolaia bottling in order to augment the Riserva. It is a striking specimen of the balmy Sesta zone in Montalcino™s southeast. Scents of myrtle and pine infuse dark cherry and black raspberry. On the palate, iron and chestnut weave through the luscious and exotic red fruit. Equally sumptuous tannins bestow a generous sandy-textured embrace. Polished and layered with mineral depths, this already feels satisfying, but the best is yet to come."

"A complex and deep wine with dried flowers, red cherries, raspberries, black pepper, licorice, tar and leather on the nose. Full-bodied, it shows velvety tannins over a dense palate full of tension and a tight structure with a classic, savory aftertaste. Drink or hold."

"The Lisini 2019 Brunello Riserva ripples with power while it also boasts a weightless concentration, delivering ripe black plum, fleshy Morello cherry, tobacco and cake spice flavors. Firm, velvety tannins provide enveloping support. It™s also fragrant, offering aromas of violet, grilled rosemary, ripe berry and Mediterranean scrub. Drink 2029"2034. "The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva tempts the imagination as a mix of geranium and rose petals complement citrus-laced blackberries and hints of violet pastille. This is lifted and finessed with vibrant acidity and masses of mineral-infused red and black fruit aromas offset by a tinge of orange zest toward the close. The finish reveals its tannic and poised structure, yet it's blended with a primary concentration that adds tremendous balance as nuances of tobacco and licorice fade. Bury this deep in the cellar."

"Packed with cherry and blackberry fruit, this red is dense and a bit chunky at this stage. Mineral, earth and floral notes add depth, and this finishes with echoes of fruit and earth, plus the emergence of Tuscan scrub accents. A solid base of tannins lends support; this is balanced and built for the long haul. Best from 2027 through 2047."B.S."

"Bright and packed with black cherry, blackberry, cassis, iron, tobacco and blood orange flavors, this red is ripe and well-built for the long haul. Dense, refined tannins and electric acidity keep this alive and crackling, while the fruit lingers on the extended aftertaste."

"Pouring a deep red/garnet hue, the 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva is ripe and generous on the nose, with blackberries, balsamic, crushed flowers, and tarry earth. The palate is full-bodied and tightly wound, with ripe tannins, bright acidity, and orange citrus notes that drive through the long finish and keep it energetic. It should drink well with some patience. Drink 2027-2041."

"Depths of sour cherry blend with shavings of blood orange, minty herbs and autumnal spice as the dramatic 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva comes to life in the glass. It is nearly fleshy in feel, with bright acidity and steely mineral tones propelling its ripe wild berry fruits across the palate. This finishes with extreme length and a mentholated freshness, leaving a tart wild blueberry saturation that adds chewy depth. Despite the vintage, the 2020 comes across as classic to its core."

"Cedar with red cherries, dried herbs and subtle black pepper. Medium- to full-bodied with red-fruit, cedar and dried-herb flavors. Silky tannins lead to a clean, substantial finish. Drink or hold."

"The Lisini 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva clearly expresses its status through greater concentration and richness. The aromatic profile leans toward black and purple fruits, with oak spice playing a more prominent role in this wine, which sees an extra year of aging. While the Ugolaia selection emphasizes brightness, this Riserva turns toward the broader, more powerful style traditionally associated with the category, closing with fresh acidity that keeps it in balance. Representing a selection of the estate™s best fruit from across its holdings, this wine was produced in just 4,000 bottles."
