• A two-barrel blend: one barrel distilled at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, and one barrel distilled at Still Austin Whiskey Co. in Austin, Texas
• Castle & Key mash bill is 75% corn, 15% rye, 10% malted barley; distilled in a Vendome copper column still and 375-gallon doubler
• Still Austin mash bill is 75% corn, 20% rye, 5% malted barley; distilled on a custom-made 42-foot column still and a copper pot still
• Castle & Key distillate aged for 3 years in a char #4 new American oak barrel before being re-barreled into a second char #4 new American oak barrel for an additional 3 years
• Still Austin distillate aged in Texas in a charred new American oak barrel for 4 years followed by 3 years further aging in Kentucky
• Vanilla custard and cake frosting lead on the nose, giving way to buttery cinnamon, baking spice, and a firmer edge of oak. On the palate, that sweetness shifts into peanut brittle and roasted nuts before the vanilla returns through the mid-palate, joined by toasted oak and concentrated wood sugars. The texture builds as it moves across the palate, becoming increasingly viscous and coating, while the proof remains well integrated. The finish turns drier and more spice-driven, with lingering notes of vanilla and oak.
