Bourbon, '11 Year - Full Proof'

Bourbon 11 Year Full Proof
  • Blend of full-proof straight bourbon whiskeys sourced, blended, and bottled by Barrell Craft Spirits in Louisville, Kentucky
  • Part of the Barrell Craft Spirits Limited Edition Black Label Series
  • Derived mash bill of 78% corn, 11% rye, and 11% malted barley
  • Aged a minimum 11 years in new American oak; composed of a selection of 11-, 16-, 17-, 18-, and 20-year-old straight bourbon whiskeys distilled and aged in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee
  • Once selected, component whiskeys are cut to their original barrel entry proof with purified (reverse osmosis) water and rested in stainless steel
  • The aroma of raisins and peanuts stands atop a foundation of solid oak. Deep, indulgent flavors of mint dark chocolate and bold coffee mingle with bacon and pancakes leading to a rich and oily palate.
  • No added coloring
  • Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 61.5% ABV

Having built a brand around the art of blending cask-strength spirits, Barrell applies the energy of the enterprise to the other end of the aging regimen: namely, to the character of the spirit as it goes into the barrel, its entry strength. This unique bottling features aged whiskeys “cut” to their original proof before they went into cask and then blended to complement one another. A truly singular American whiskey expression, Barrell Full Proof showcases whiskies that are old, but also new again.

"Oh so dark in the glass, this is a complex blend of bourbons ranging from 11 to 20 years old. It's teeming with flavor, quite lively and almost electric on the palate; considerably sweet but not cloying, dripping with honeycomb, Heath bar, coffee bean, and savory pumpernickel bread. Add a touch of water and out comes chocolate-coconut cookies bolstered by a faintly herbaceous quality."
