"The 2023 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru was raised in two used barrels this year and underwent a slightly longer alcoholic fermentation. It has an engaging bouquet with touches of aniseed infusing the intense citrus fruit. Wonderful mineralité and drive enhance the aromatics. The palate is lightly spiced on the entry with fine weight and depth. Sapid citrus fruit and touches of walnut and oyster shell build through the finish, completing what is a seriously impressive Bâtard-Montrachet."
