Old Jett Brothers

Old Jett Brothers

The Old Jett Brothers Distillery once stood just ten miles from where Neeley Family Distillery currently operates in Sparta, Kentucky. Though the distillery was shuttered during Prohibition in 1920, it shares the same limestone water source as well as natural airborne yeast and microflora as Neeley Family Distillery, resulting in a similar flavor spirit profile. Now, a century later, Neeley Family Distillery has revived the brand to showcase unique cask finishes.

Old Jett Brothers batches begin as Neeley Family Distillery bourbon produced from locally sourced grains, using techniques passed down over eleven unbroken generations of distillation lineage: sweet mash fermentation using wild Appalachian yeast, triple distillation in copper pots, and aging in air-seasoned casks. After their primary maturation, Single Barrel Coordinator Rebekah Neeley personally selects each barrel to best harmonize with the unique finishing casks which include toasted French oak, Sauternes, Madeira, brandy, maple syrup, port, rum, tequila, and even sotol casks.
